EARLY LIFE AND FAMILY

Semenyo was born in UK to Ghanian parents who relocated to UK in the 1990s. He was born in a Christian family to the father Larry Semenyo and mother Vida semenyo. His father played for the Okwawo united in the ghanian kingdom, while his mother was a healthcare worker. He has a younger brother Jai Semenyo who is also a professional footballer who played for clubs liuke Eastleigh. Being born in England his father’s hertage draws him to Ghanian and his mother’s connects him to French citizenship.

EDUCATION AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Antoine entered the Gloucestershire and Stroud College and he was part of their football programme. Consequently, this helped him to have his football journey from an early age. However, in his football path he faced several setbacks. He faced rejections after trials with major English Football clubs including Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspurs, Millwall and Crystal palace. Despite the challenges, he persevered. Bristol city eventually recognized him and he joined their academy. There he grew his football skills and began his professional senior football in 2017.

PROFFESSIONSAL CAREER

BRISTOL CITY

He signed his profession contract in 2018. Here the club wanted him to get experienced and therefore he was sent to loan contracts in some clubs including:
1.Bath City where he gained football courage and adapted senior football.
2.Newport Country in league two where hew his football strength and pace
3.Sunderland. in 2020 he came toi thius club for a brief loan spell.

On coming back he made his way to the first team of Bristol city. He won the Bristol City Young Player of the year for the 2021\2022 season. Also, he was named EFL Championship Player Of the month in January 2022.

AFC BOURNEMOUTH (2023-2026)

In January 2023, Semenyo moved to the premier league by joining Bournemouth after a transfer fee of €10 million euros paid to Bristol.
Consequently, he became an important component of the cherries for his ability to break through defenses and create big chances. During the 2023/24 season he scored 8 goals and 3 assists contributing to 11 GA. Moreover, in 2025/26 season he enjoyed the first half of the season by scoring 10 goals including the winner goal against Tottenham Hotspurs in injury time.

MANCHESTER CITY ( 2026-PRESENT)

He moved to mancity after a fee of 65 million euros paid to Bournemouth signing a 5.5 year contract to the club. He made his debut fot the club on jan 10 2026 registering a goal and an assist in their massive 10-1 win against Exter. in the club he wars jersey number 42 in a nod to the club legend,Yaya Toure.

He is known for his ground faith. he is currently engaged to his long term girlfriend Jordeen Buckley, a london-based model and influencer. He proposed to her on November 2025 while recovering from an injury.
